How to hook people to your content?

Written by Naja Shafiq

Improve your headlines. They are the first thing people read. If your headline isn’t interesting enough, they wont read the rest.

Here are 5 ways you can write better headlines.

1. Value proposition.

Highlight what people want or what they don’t.

Example:
Want stronger teeth? You need to try this toothpaste.
Mistakes you want to avoid during workouts.

2. How to.

Use question statements to invoke people’s curiosity.

Example:
How to lose weight in less than 30 days?
How to learn to read a book faster?

3. Cliff-hanger.

Use teaser to attract people’s interest to know more.

Example:
Did you know you can do this to make you hair shinier?
Things you didn’t know about sunscreen cream…

4. List.

Include the number of information that you are giving.

Example:
5 tips to be more productive when working at home.
The 3 best ways to clean your sneakers.

5. Testimonial.

Use words directly from your customers or clients.

Example:
“This in the only book on coding you’ll ever need.”
“Everyone should taste this cupcakes. It’s really good!”
