About me
I’m Naja Shafiq, a Malaysian brand strategist and consultant.
I help founder-led DTC brands in Malaysia get clear on what their brand stands for, who they’re serving, what makes them different, and why people should care.
I believe you can’t build a strong brand by guessing.
A lot of businesses know something is working, but they’re not really sure why. And when something isn’t working, they don’t know why either. Without clarity, it’s easy to keep trying different things, trying to please everyone, and reacting to whatever happens next.
I believe clarity comes before growth.
You need to know what kind of brand you’re trying to build before you can figure out how to grow it.
How I got here
I started my career as a freelance graphic designer in 2014, and specialised in logo design and brand identity in 2016.
But the more brands I worked on, the more I realised that good visuals alone aren’t enough.
You can have a great logo and still have no idea what your brand actually stands for.
That led me deeper into brand strategy. In 2019, I started putting strategy before branding and design work, helping business owners get clearer on the foundations of their brand before thinking about how it should look.
What I do now
Today, my main offer is the Brand Strategy Sprint, a one-day intensive workshop where I work with founders and key stakeholders to uncover their Brand DNA.
We dig into who you serve, what you stand for, the value you provide, your positioning, differentiation, personality and the thinking behind the brand.
The goal is to give you a North Star for your brand, something you can use to make better decisions across your business, marketing and growth.
Because there are new brands popping up every month.
So why should people choose yours?
That’s the question I want to help you answer.
